End of life services
for your pet

SERVICES OFFERED FOLLOWING THE LOSS OF A PET:

Choosing euthanasia for your pet is never an easy decision, but once you know that it's time,
the staff here at Sunrise Veterinary Services are here to make this situation just a little less difficult for you.

In an effort to do so, we at SVS can provide the following services:
You will be asked what you would like to do with the remains of your pet:

▢  Take pet home for burial. (Only charged for euthanasia.)

▢  Cremation service without the return of any ashes. (Prices range from $65-$125, depending on size of animal.)

▢  Cremation service with return of ashes in a wooden urn. (Prices range from $150-$310, depending on size of animal.)

▢ I would also like a name plate added to the urn. (Approximately $16)

▢  I would like a paw print memento made from my pet’s paw. (Approxiamtely $31)

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING EUTHANASIA:

A technician will take you into a private room to explain our process. The veterinarian will then come in and give your pet a sedative to ease the transition. It will take between 10 to 15 minutes for your pet to fall fully asleep. At this time your pet will now be unconscious and unaware of its surroundings or any pain. You are welcome to stay with your pet as it falls asleep and for as long as you want or need to say goodbye. The last thing your pet will remember is you at their side as it falls asleep. Once you are ready, the technicians will bring your pet to a treatment area where the final lethal injection will be given. We have found that doing it this way helps to preserve your good memories rather than having them overshadowed by the process of dying. It is your choice regarding if you would like to see your pet again after he/she passes away. Losing a friend is a difficult time. We are so sorry for the loss of your pet.

Our deepest sympathy to you during your time of grief,

The Staff of Sunrise Veterinary Services
